Painting Oils From Life 1

There is no substitute for painting from life. 
Photos show the form of a subject, but conceal the subtleties of colour and colour temperature within that form.  It's these subtleties that can help to turn a good painting into a great one.

In this 14 week oil painting course, we will paint only from life in an impressionistic and focused,
wet-on-wet manner. 

We will explore different palettes and study the work of painters, both historic and contemporary.
The objective of this course is to hone the observational abilities of students, and to teach them how to create more sensitive, refined works of art.

There will be frequent demonstrations, and one-on-one instruction. 

Subject matter will be still life, floral and figurative.

This class is suitable for any level of experience.

Price: $420
There will be an additional charge for 4 model painting classes.  The amount will depend upon the number of students that we have but, is normally between $5 and $7 per class.
